Overview

Join to apply for the Senior Medical Scientist in Charge role at North Metropolitan Health Service.

This is a Permanent Part Time appointment at 38 hours per fortnight.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and direct the provision of the department's national clinical retinal genetics and state visual electrophysiology services.
  • Promote research of an international standard relevant to these services.
  • Manage the provision of a robust quality system to maintain the department's ISO 9001:2015 Quality Assurance accreditation.
  • Uphold the organisation's core values (Care, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork and Integrity) during the selection process and in performance of duties.

Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) is one of Australia's leading teaching tertiary hospitals. Located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre 4km from Perth city centre, SCGH provides a comprehensive range of clinical services including trauma, emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery, and cardiac care. It is home to WA's only comprehensive cancer centre—the largest cancer treatment centre in the State—and is the State's principal hospital for neurosurgery and liver transplants.
