Position Overview

The Contract Recruiter is a key member of Delta Beverages' People team, engaged on a contract term to support critical hiring needs. This role will manage the full recruitment lifecycle across multiple functions, from sourcing through onboarding, while ensuring an exceptional candidate experience.

The Recruiter will also handle interview scheduling, candidate communication, offer execution, and onboarding logistics. This is an at-will contract role anticipated to last approximately 12 months, with the possibility of extension or conversion to full-time depending on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Partner with the Head of Human Resources and department leaders to align on current and upcoming hiring needs.
  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies tailored to evolving business priorities.
  • Proactively source candidates through job boards, social media, professional networks, and referrals.
  • Build and maintain pipelines for critical and recurring roles.

Recruitment Process Management

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle: job postings, sourcing, screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding support.
  • Conduct phone/video screens and prepare candidate summaries for hiring managers.
  • Manage scheduling, interview coordination, and onboarding logistics until additional support is in place.
  • Facilitate onsite interview days during scheduled Charlotte HQ presence.
  • Ensure an exceptional candidate experience through consistent communication and feedback.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Support the drafting offer letters and related documentation as needed; ensure compliance with employment law and company policy.
  • Partner with Payroll & HR Administrator to ensure accurate new hire data handoff for payroll and benefits.

Employer Branding & Networking

  • Collaborate with Marketing on Delta Beverages employer branding.
  • Represent the company at job fairs, networking events, and industry/community outreach virtually, or occasionally in person as needed.
  • Track and report recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, source of hire, pipeline health).
  • Provide regular progress updates to the Head of Human Resources.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and candidate quality.
  • Utilize internal PM software to track recruiting for visibility and team collaboration.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Completion of prioritized hires within agreed timelines following start date.
  • Average time-to-fill aligned with competitive benchmarks.
  • Positive candidate experience feedback (via surveys or follow-ups).
  • Active and updated pipelines for all critical and recurring roles.
  • 100% of hires processed with accurate and compliant documentation.

Qualifications Required

  • 3–5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in high-growth environments.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent searches.
  • Strong sourcing skills with ability to proactively build pipelines.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting tools.
  • 2-3 Professional references available upon initial screening.

Preferred

  • Background or experience in HR for a well-rounded perspective on organizational needs and talent development.
  • Experience recruiting in beverage, CPG, or similar industries.
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements for multi-state operations.
  • Experience with employer branding and talent marketing campaigns.
  • Results-Driven: Delivers against ambitious hiring needs.
  • Resourceful: Manages sourcing and coordination independently until support staff are in place.
  • Candidate-Centric: Provides an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Collaborative: Works effectively with hiring managers, HR, and Marketing.
  • Adaptable: Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Remote-first role with required in-office presence 6–8 days per month at Charlotte HQ for in-person hiring needs or collaboration.
  • Access to company-provided tools and systems to support recruiting success.
