Inside Sales - Communications & Security Solutions (CSS)

Wesco Anixter is seeking a highly motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our Sydney team, based in Silverwater.

The Role

In this role, you will interact with existing trade customers to increase sales of our products and services by obtaining and up-selling orders, processing quotations, consulting with suppliers, and managing lead times.

Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, our Inside Sales Team provides a diverse range of Security, Networking, Datacom, and Telecom product solutions. This role will primarily support our Electronic Security database.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage inbound sales calls
  • Obtain orders via email and phone, verify and enter items, transfer orders to fulfillment, explain backorders, and expected delivery dates
  • Prepare, generate, and follow up on quotations
  • Serve various markets by suggesting and delivering suitable product solutions to meet customer needs
  • Build strong customer relationships, retention, and loyalty
  • Make cold and warm outbound sales calls to uncover opportunities
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders, including sales teams, inventory management, warehouse, and supply partners, to deliver outcomes for customers
  • Work effectively with team members to achieve organizational goals

Requirements

  • Strong phone presence with sales ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in a high-pressure or fast-paced customer service or inside sales environment
  • Technical aptitude with a willingness to learn products, system design, and solutions
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills

The successful candidate will be highly driven and eager to succeed in sales by providing superior customer service. While product training and mentorship will be provided, knowledge of current technologies or relevant industry experience will be highly regarded.
