The Sales Support Engineer will play a critical role in providing technical support to our sales team and customers. This role involves understanding customer requirements, preparing conceptual designs, and ensuring smooth communication between the sales and engineering teams. The Sales Support Engineer will also assist in proposal preparations, product demonstrations, technical presentations, and resolving customer inquiries. The role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Duties:
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and technical requirements.
- Provide technical support to the sales team during customer interactions and meetings.
- Assist in preparing technical proposals, quotations, and presentations for customers.
- Work closely with the sales and engineering teams to interpret customer requirements and develop conceptual designs.
- Contact customers to request and/or clarify information supplied where needed.
- Convert supplied information to prepare concept drawings using SolidWorks / CAD design tools.
- Provide timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries, quotation requests, and technical queries.
- Maintain documentation of technical specifications, customer interactions, and project status updates.
- Facilitate cost estimation and create quoted pricing for custom case solutions.
- Provide sales team training/support to ensure that design and engineering processes are optimized.
- Drive process improvement and contribute to the development of sales support tools and resources.
- Keep abreast of industry and technological trends to provide relevant insights to the sales team.
- Follow company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follow safety guidelines and procedures in accordance with the job.
- Perform additional duties as and when required.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering.
- Strong technical background with a solid understanding of engineering principles and concepts.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a technical sales support role or similar capacity.
- Proven track record of providing technical solutions and support to sales teams and customers.
- Experience in preparing technical proposals, quotations, product demonstrations, and presentations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with sales, engineering, and other cross-functional teams.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in delivering technical solutions and documentation.
- Customer-centric mindset with a passion for understanding and addressing customer needs and challenges.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn about new technologies and industry trends.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient with SolidWorks, CAD, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Written and verbal fluency in English is required.

- Must have the ability to complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager.
- Due to the nature of the position, some flexibility regarding working hours will be required on an ad-hoc basis.
- May be required to travel nationally and internationally on an ad-hoc basis.
- Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The annual U.S. pay range for this position is listed below. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on your qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
