The Role

We are looking for highly motivated F135 Security Specialist to support the most exciting engine platforms in the defence sector – the legendary F/A 18 Super Hornet's F414 engine, M1 Abrams AGT1500 engine and the F135 engine that powers the most advanced fifth-generation fighter in the world – the F35 Lightning II.

Your duties include:

  • Maintain TAE Aerospace's reporting and governance functions under DISP including applicable regulatory, site, customer and corporate requirements.
  • Act as TAE Aerospace's representative in dealing with customer and government agencies on Security matters affecting the F135 Program.
  • Maintain TAE and customer security obligations across the multi-use TEMF site.
  • In close consultation with the CSO/Security Director, manage Security related emergency response functions, roles and responsibilities in accordance with site emergency response plan.
  • Responsible/accountable to ensure personnel in the F135 conduct annual security training and maintain currency IAW OEM requirements.
  • Supports CSO/Security Director to ensure TAE and embedded OEM staff understand and comply with all applicable Security policies and procedures.
  • Support CSO/Security Director in maintaining badging and access controls to protect information and material on site IAW DISP and OEM requirements.
  • Coordinate Security related DISP activities, incidents and initiatives with external parties where required.
  • Provide Security SME guidance to managers and other stakeholders.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in the implementation and management of Security programs in an industrial, multi-site environment.
  • Minimum NV1 AGSVA Security Clearance.
  • Broad knowledge of and experience in all maintenance practices involved with aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO).
  • Completed Defence Security Officers course.
  • Sound knowledge of Defence Security Principals Framework (DSPF) and Defence Industry Security Program (DISP).
  • Appropriate level of skill in Information Technology packages such as Microsoft Office suite.
