About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide personalised, respectful, and empowering support to people living with a disability. In this role, you will help individuals work towards their goals, maintain their independence, and participate fully in everyday life. Key duties include:

  • Providing personal care and daily living support tailored to individual needs.
  • Assisting with tasks such as meal preparation, light domestic work, and transportation.
  • Encouraging social participation, community engagement, and inclusion.
  • Supporting choice and independence in all aspects of care.
  • Following individualised care plans.
  • Maintaining accurate records in accordance with organisational and compliance requirements.

Selection Criteria

The Successful Candidate Will Demonstrate:

  • Experience in manual handling and supporting clients with mobility aids and personal care equipment.
  • The ability to work with clients with complex mental health needs, including behavioural and emotional regulation.
  • Availability Monday to Friday, between 7am and 7pm.
  • Availability for weekend, public holiday, and school holiday shifts.
  • Minimum Certificate III or IV in Disability Services (or equivalent), or at least three years' relevant experience.
  • A completed Assist Clients with Medication skill set (or willingness to obtain).
  • Access to a reliable, registered, and insured vehicle suitable for transporting clients.
You Will Also Need
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or Yellow Card).
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate.
  • Current National Police Check.
  • Working with Children Blue Card.
  • A current C-Class driver's licence with a good driving record.
  • Proof of the right to work in Australia.
