About the Role
The role of a Disability Support Worker is to deliver quality support that aligns with both participant and organisational expectations. Adopting a model of empowerment, our Disability Support Workers provide tailor-made, individualised services to enable participants to achieve their personalised goals and desired outcomes.
Primary Duties of the Position
- Partnering with participants and their wider support networks to deliver identified participant outcomes.
- Listening to participants while allowing them to exercise their right to 'choice and control'.
- Implementing and adhering to Individual Support Plans.
- Supporting participants with daily living activities, including housekeeping, cleaning, meal preparation, shopping, and transportation.
- Assisting participants with personal care, including hygiene, eating, medication, healthcare, and mobility.
- Providing participants access to community activities and group events.
- Maintaining accurate and complete records and progress notes.
- Demonstrating a strong understanding of the NDIS and a commitment to its principles and code of conduct.
- Adhering to a safe system of work at all times.
About You

Mandatory Requirements
To fulfil the requirements of this position, candidates will require the following:
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance to assist with participant transportation (mileage reimbursed).
- Current Positive Notice - Blue Card.
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance Card.
- Evidence of completing the NDIS Worker Orientation Module (e.g., "Quality, Safety and You").
- Understanding of the NDIS Code of Conduct and compliance with its principles.
- Ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in Australia.
Conditions of the Role
This position is offered on a casual basis, in compliance with Fair Work regulations, with the potential for progression to a permanent appointment based on performance. Remuneration will be guided by the Terms and Conditions of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHADS Award) and will be commensurate with experience.
