DermatologyOne is a small, family-owned specialist Dermatology practice located in Springwood. We are passionate about helping our patients achieve and maintain healthy skin

We are seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working medical receptionist with excellent communication and customer service skills to join our friendly team. The role is for ~3 - 3.5 days per week with the opportunity to increase your days / hours as the clinic grows or to cover staff leave.

About the role :

As a Medical Receptionist / Clinical Assistant at Dermatology One, you will be patients' first point of contact with the practice. Your responsibilities will include :

Appointment booking and attending to patients' queries in a friendly and professional manner on the telephone, in person and via email

Billing patients, handling cash, EFTPOS and processing DVA and Medicare payments

Assisting clinicians in setting up for treatments and with documentation and specimen handling

Communicating effectively with doctors and other staff members

Scanning, faxing and filing confidential documents

Ensuring the practice is tidy and presentable

Administrative support

Essential criteria :

Polite, friendly, well-presented and attentive to patients

Good work ethic and ability to multi-task

Someone who thrives in a busy environment

Outstanding communication skills

At least 1 year of previous experience in a similar role

Attention to detail

Familiarity with Medicare and DVA billing

Reliable and dependable team player

Desirable criteria :

Familiar with use of medical software and medical terminology

Previous experience in a Dermatology clinic would be looked upon favourably but is not essential

Remuneration is negotiable and will be based on experience. Free on-site parking is provided to staff members.
