Who are we looking for? We are seeking a talented and passionate Consultant – Engagement and Communication to work across strategic engagement and communication initiatives across complex infrastructure, environmental, and energy projects. Join GHD's fast-growing engagement services area working with a network of communication and engagement services consultants across APAC to help deliver GHD's vision of creating lasting community benefit.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for you to work on and explore new opportunities across GHD's 5 sectors of Water, Transportation, Property & Buildings, Environment and Energy & Resources. This will be achieved by working closely with clients who seek to manage risk and preparing communities for change by drawing on the GHD experience and global network to solve the critical challenges inherent to these complex projects. We lead the right conversations at the right time, designing activities to create an open dialogue promoting collaboration, motivation, information and education. This opportunity can be located in either the Hobart, Launceston or Burnie Office of GHD.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing stakeholder and community engagement strategies and plans across the wide variety of projects that GHD are involved with
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of complex projects for clients
  • Develop and enhance client relationships, both existing and new growth areas
  • Contribute to proposals for new opportunities
  • Contributes to GHD's strategic direction
Qualifications
  • Formal qualifications in a Social Science/Communications/Commerce degree or similar; or appropriate transferrable skills
  • A great focus on client service and delivery
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills together with the capacity to be flexible and adaptable
  • Excellent writing skills and the demonstrated capacity to produce high quality content written for a range of audiences and mediums
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to talk to members of the community and other key stakeholders as required
  • Ability to work independently when required
  • Sound judgement and decisiveness
