Harlsan Pty Ltd is Australia's leading manufacturer of drilling consumables, recognised globally for quality, innovation, and customer focus. We're looking for a highly organised and proactive Business Support Officer to provide vital support to senior leadership while contributing across HR, recruitment, IT, and operational improvement. This diverse role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities- Executive & Leadership Support – Manage calendars, travel (local and international), itineraries, expenses, and follow-ups while ensuring strong stakeholder engagement.
- Collaboration & Communication – Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, capture outcomes, and track actions. Support workshops and leadership sessions.
- Talent & HR Support – Oversee recruitment activities including job postings, candidate communication, interviews, and onboarding. Maintain HR records, contracts, policies, and compliance, while supporting WHS and employee engagement.
- Project & Business Support – Assist with planning, monitoring, and reporting of internal projects. Oversee office operations, supplies, and facilities while preparing accurate reports and board documents. Provide general administrative support as required.
- Technology & Systems – Manage Teams, Xero, SharePoint, and Excel reporting. Coordinate hardware/software requests and user accounts, liaising with the external IT provider to resolve issues quickly.
- Process & Improvement – Refine templates and workflows, support compliance and quality assurance, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
- Organisational Excellence – Detail-driven, structured, and reliable.
- Proactive Mindset – Anticipates needs, drives efficiency, and improves processes.
- Clear Communicator – Builds positive relationships at all levels with professionalism and discretion.
- Technical & Analytical Skills – Proficient in Teams, Xero, SharePoint, and especially Excel for reporting and data management.
- Adaptability & Resilience – Thrives under pressure, managing multiple priorities with composure.
- HR & Recruitment Knowledge – Experience in HR administration, compliance, and recruitment coordination is highly valued.
