To liaise with Chefs with regard to the restaurant and banquet functions.

To liaise with the F & B Manager and outlet Supervisors to ensure a smooth running operation.

To ensure that all standard recipes are followed in all outlets.

To monitor the rotation of stock in all storage facilities. Closely monitor ordering and related par levels to achieve food cost targets.

To maintain a clean & safe working environment.

To Hire, train, and supervise cooks and other food preparation workers.

To facilitate the efficient and effective staffing of the kitchen such that financial and service quality targets are achieved.

Kitchen members are working productively and harmoniously together as a team.

Responsible for all Chefs, kitchen hands and stewards.

Represent and maintain professional working relationships with all departments and managers

About the role

We are seeking a motivated, talented, vibrant and dynamic Chef De Partie with sushi training and/or Japanese kitchen (tempura) experience to join our high-energy, fast-paced & award-winning restaurant Yamagen. The ideal candidate will have a "team-first" attitude, a passion for culinary excellence, and the drive to succeed in this dynamic industry. Position Overview

The Chef De Partie challenges our expectations and brings new and exciting ideas to create exceptional guest experiences across our amazing spaces.

They will work with the kitchen staff for the purpose of producing high quality meals. To practice and teach portion control, quality control, waste control and product preparation techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for your specific kitchen station, overseeing preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain a seamless flow and consistently deliver top-notch dishes.

Uphold strict hygiene and food safety standards, conducting regular checks to guarantee the freshness, taste, and visual appeal of all dishes leaving the kitchen.

Work closely with kitchen staff, communicating effectively to ensure efficient teamwork, smooth operations, and a harmonious kitchen environment.

Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant setting.

Proven experience working seamlessly in a dynamic kitchen environment.

Ensure that the Hotel's kitchens produce a high quality food product at all times.

Anticipate and attend to the guest's needs and desires immediately.

Prepare sauces, soups and hot dishes for service and special functions.

Demonstrate superior recipe knowledge for every item on the Hotel's menus.

Monitor all food storage facilities to ensure that proper storage techniques are being used and that the cleanliness standards of the Hotel are being maintained.

Requisition the appropriate amount of food product in accordance with the established Hotel policies and procedures.

Maintain an acceptable degree of knowledge with regard to food product.

Comply with all of the established hotel operational policies & procedures.
