Job Title: Senior Chef de Partie

About the role:

  • Oversee and manage kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality cuisine in a fast-paced environment.
  • Assist the Executive Chef in planning, organizing and directing kitchen activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Executive Chef in planning, organizing and directing kitchen activities.
  • Managing food preparation, cooking and presentation of all menu items.
  • Execute each station with precision, consistency and lead by example.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Manage staff performance and drive the kitchen team.
  • Filling in for the Executive Chef during times of absence.
  • Mentor and train junior kitchen staff to develop their skills.
  • Participate in menu development and costing.
  • Confidently manage inventory, waste and ordering of supplies.
  • Monitor prep work and production processes.
  • Maintain consistency in taste, quality and presentation across all dishes.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all guests.
  • Create a positive work environment that fosters innovation and creativity.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or equivalent role in a busy restaurant environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Passion for creating innovative, high-quality cuisine.
  • Culinary Arts qualifications or equivalent training.
