Love Athletica is an innovative Pilates brand growing nationally and searching for a self motivated detail oriented In House Designer to work independently and alongside our Design Director/Co-founder in this all rounder unique role. Based in South Yarra, you'll love the energy of our growing HQ team minus the corporate environment.

This is a full-time salary position, predominantly Monday to Friday with regular interstate travel and varied work hours on weekdays and weekends. Your flexibility is important around project timelines and on delivery of each rewarding studio project.

We're looking for an super star qualified Interior Designer, proficient with design software, experienced in commercial design with proven project management skills.

What you'll be doing

• Collaborate with the Design Director on the vision, studio requirements and brand identity.
• Translate designs into comprehensive, accurate, and detailed interior documentation, including construction drawings, renders, specifications, and schedules.
• Analyse and optimise spatial layouts to enhance functionality and user experience.
• Research and specify appropriate materials, furnishings, and finishes that align with the design vision and budget.
• Manage the Council Permit Application process and associated consultants from start to finish.
• Submit detailed documentation for tender, prepare budgets and schedule construction timelines.
• Serve as the primary point of contact to builders or consultants, offering solutions and providing regular updates to the team.
• Manage the procurement of materials and furnishings, ensuring timely delivery and installation.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Conduct regular site inspections and open communication to stay ahead of each project.
• Provide a hands on approach with a 'can do' attitude to deliver beautiful studio's to be proud of.

What we're looking for

• Degree or Diploma in Interior Design.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Commercial Interior Documentation and Project Management.
• Proficiency in design software (Revit, Autocad, Adobe Suite,Canva).
• Proficiency in use of technology (Google Drive and Docs, Excel, Office, Asana etc) and the ability to prepare high-quality documents and presentations.
• Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and material specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under tight deadlines.
• A strong communicator and team player with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
• Flexibility to travel regularly with varied hours.
• Passion for design, and a desire to contribute to the growth of a premium wellness brand.
• Driving Licence, reliable vehicle and right to work in Australia.
