The role: We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with proven expertise in the construction of modular homes to join our dynamic team. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of projects from planning through to completion, ensuring all works are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
As a valued member of our team, you will:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the construction team to achieve project goals and maintain a positive workplace culture.
- Oversee all aspects of modular home construction, including site preparation, building installation, and final handover.
- Manage budgets, cost control measures, and resource allocation to meet financial targets.
- Ensure projects are completed within agreed timeframes and meet quality expectations.
- Implement and maintain workplace health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all WHS legislation and company policies.
- Apply a clear understanding of modern construction methods, the National Construction Code (NCC), and relevant building standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of materials and services.
- Manage risk, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support installation crews, logistics and manage on-site installations as per site and Engineers requirements
Qualifications, Attitude & Experience required for the role:
- Trade qualification and/or QBCC Builder's Licence (preferred).
- Current White Card (mandatory).
- Extensive experience in modular home construction and project management.
- Strong understanding of building installations (preferred but not essential).
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction methodologies, WHS practices, and NCC building codes
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
- Takes pride in delivering quality workmanship with strong attention to detail
- Brings a proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills
- Leads with integrity, enjoys working as part of a team and helping guide other team members
