About the organisation
Jesuit Social Services is a social change organisation working to build a just society where all people can live to their full potential. About the role
We are seeking an experienced Coordinator with expertise in family violence prevention to:
- Lead key projects from initial contact with program partners through co-design, delivery, evaluation, and reporting.
- Develop and deliver engaging and effective workshops to diverse, and sometimes resistant, community members.
We offer competitive remuneration, salary packaging benefits, ongoing professional and career development, and opportunities for personal growth.
What Jesuit Social Services can offer you:
- An organisation that embodies its values daily
- A welcoming and supportive environment
- Comprehensive induction and orientation
- Ongoing training and development
- Employee assistance program
- Competitive salary plus salary packaging benefits
- Generous leave entitlements
About the program
The Men's Project, launched in 2017, aims to reduce violence and harmful behaviors among boys and men, promoting wellbeing and safe communities.
Our vision is for good men, respectful relationships, and safe communities.
Our approach includes:
- Research to understand behaviors and attitudes related to violence, child sexual abuse, and wellbeing among men and boys.
- Promoting positive gender norms and building skills to prevent violence.
- Developing innovative strategies to break cycles of violence and harmful behaviors.
Current priorities involve understanding perpetration through research, supporting those working with men and boys, developing early intervention approaches, and advocating for systemic change.
With over 45 years of experience, the Men's Project builds on Jesuit Social Services' longstanding commitment to engaging with boys and men in trouble, aiming to reduce violence and improve wellbeing.
About you
This role suits candidates with:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience
- Experience in violence prevention programs or related fields like social work, community development, or health promotion
- Skills in facilitation, public speaking, and content development
