Overview

Administration Officer role at Healthscope. Prince of Wales Private Hospital is seeking casual Administration Officers to join the Administration team as the hospital operates across seven days.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a busy reception desk
  • Answer and redirect calls
  • Organise appointments and prepare admission paperwork
  • Conduct follow up requests and make reminder calls for visits
  • Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records
  • Perform Health Fund Checks as required
  • Manage the collection of excesses/co payments
  • Coordinate with staff from other departments
  • Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry
Essential Criteria
  • Proven Administration and/or Customer service experience
  • Flexible to work a variety of shifts
  • Valid Authority to Work in Australia
  • NSW Working with Children check for Employment
  • High level customer service skillset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Works well independently and within a diverse team
Desirable Criteria
  • Prior experience in Healthcare, Medical or Dental Administration (Patient Facing)
  • Prior experience with WebPas Patient Administration System (or similar)
  • Diploma or TAFE level qualification in Administration, Business Management or related discipline (or working towards same)
