This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high performing team of referral coordinators responsible for the preparation and validation of workers' compensation claims referrals from Insurers to the Medical Assessment Tribunal, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

Working with the Tribunal, Coordinators prepare, validate, and support both virtual and in-person tribunal hearings across various specialties, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve high-quality outcomes. They ensure that information provided to the tribunal is comprehensive, procedurally fair to all parties, and that the tribunal's decisions are well-reasoned.

The Medical Assessment Tribunals include over 200 appointed medical specialists who make decisions regarding workers' injuries within the Queensland workers' compensation scheme. A Tribunal Coordinator manages an allocated caseload from referral to final outcome, overseeing legislative compliance, providing technical advice, and liaising with stakeholders.

While there are no mandatory qualifications, applicants with workers' compensation knowledge or tribunal, court, or regulator experience are highly regarded.

Your suitability will be assessed based on your previous experience, skills, potential for development, and personal qualities.
