Overview

Flourish Australia are starting up new services with the Inclusive Employment Australia program and we are looking for a Team Leader - Employment to help oversee these new services.

The Position Available Is

  • Ongoing full-time (76 hours/fortnight)
  • Based on-site in Wollongong, with travel required across the region
  • Working Monday to Friday
  • Level 5 on the Flourish Australia Enterprise Agreement equivalent to $100,000p.a. - $105,000p.a + Super + Tax Free Benefits

On a day‑to‑day basis you will be required (but not limited to) to lead frontline service delivery, supervise staff, engage with employers, and ensure compliance with guidelines and statutory requirements within the IEA program.

Responsibilities
  • Lead employer engagement at allocated sites, ensure workplaces meet safety requirements and that relevant Award conditions and pay are applied to participants
  • Agree with employers and prepare wage subsidy requests for submission by Managers, Employment
  • Develop and monitor the performance of other IEA staff in relation to employment anchors, outcomes, post‑placement support, and all program requirements
  • Provide day‑to‑day supervision and support of lower or similar classified employees
  • Deliver IEA program services that are recovery‑focused and strengths‑based
Requirements / Qualifications
  • A relevant qualification related to the requirements of the IEA program delivery (as recognised by Flourish Australia)
  • At least 3 years demonstrated experience working in disability services, preferably in Disability Employment Services, Inclusive Employment Australia, or similar programs
  • Strong commitment to, and understanding of, recovery‑based practice
  • Excellent knowledge of the IEA program requirements as demonstrated by high performance in previous roles
  • Understanding of challenges faced by people with lived experience of mental health issues
  • Experience in a similar role providing support and/or supervision to staff
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and data information management systems
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence

Selection Criteria

Essential

  • A relevant qualification related to the IEA program delivery
  • At least 3 years experience in disability services, preferably DES/IEA
  • Recovery‑based practice orientation
  • Strong knowledge of IEA program requirements
  • Understanding of challenges faced by people with lived mental health experience
  • Experience supervising staff
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data systems
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence
