Dates: Wednesday 23rd July - Friday 25th July 2025
Location: Coolangatta Beach

ABOUT THE ROLES:

Assist with installation and construction of the Beach Schools Cup, including but not limited to:

  • Digging holes
  • Installation of posts, nets, and lines
  • Other tasks associated with the event at the discretion of the VQ State Events Coordinator

Information (including start times) will be communicated to successful applicants.

Event Dates: Sunday 27th - Monday 28th July 2025
Arrival: Saturday 26 July event staff only)
Location: Coolangatta Beach, Gold Coast

POSITIONS ON OFFER:

ABOUT THE ROLES:

This role will be offered on a casual basis; there is no firm advance commitment.

Approximately eight (8) Event Staff will be required for the event period.
Accommodation will be provided for Saturday and Sunday nights.
The roles of Result Supervisor and Court Supervisor are interchangeable depending on requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure the venue (beach) and courts are set up for the first match
  • Ensure nets and courts are correctly set up (correct height and tensioned)
  • Set up scoreboard and equipment (scoresheets, pens, match balls) on each court
  • Oversee operations of the beach and results, including monitoring court progress, ensuring teams are ready, and duty teams are officiating
  • Adjust net heights as needed
  • After matches, collect and review scoresheets, ensure duty teams complete them
  • Record results in the VQ Result Management System and on results wall/board

REMUNERATION:

  • Venue Managers: $37.06 (MA Sporting Organisations Award 2020 Grade 5)
  • Court Supervisors: $33.96 (MA Sporting Organisations Award 2020 Grade 3)

Superannuation 11.0% under SGC provisions.
A 30-minute break will be assigned every 5 hours.

Previous venue management experience is required.
A Paid Working with Children Check (Blue Card) is required.
