Our client is known for building and maintaining infrastructure across Australia. They are a Tier 1 construction company driven by fresh ideas and opportunities, aiming to do more and do better for their people, communities and the countries they work in. They are seeking a motivated Finance Administrator to join their Newcastle Inner City Bypass Project Team. The project includes 3.4 kms of new four-lane divided road, interchanges at Newcastle Road, Lookout Road and the John Hunter Hospital precinct, plus upgrades to connecting roads, a pedestrian bridge and an underpass.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing weekly payment run batches.
  • Processing site and delivery dockets.
  • Purchase orders.
  • Supplier invoices.
  • Assisting with budget allocation and reviewing spend against procurement strategy.
  • Ensuring actuals are accurately recorded in the monthly ledgers.
  • Preparing and maintaining financial reports.
  • Managing office and equipment registers.
About You / Requirements
  • You are proactive, organised, and thrive in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • A bachelor's degree in business/finance and prior experience in a similar role within a construction or project environment.
  • Experience with financial data entry in online systems (JD Edwards highly regarded).
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (intermediate level).
