**Description**:
The Opportunity

The Finance Department are seeking a Finance Team Assistant to join their Team. This is a Permanent Full-Time position and you will be based at our Newcastle West Office.

About the Role

The purpose of this position is to provide high level administrative assistance and clerical support to the Head of Finance and broader Finance Shared Services team to support the delivery of the Finance team’s key deliverables, responsibilities, and achievement of operational objectives across diocesan agencies.

**Key Tasks**:

- Provide administrative assistance and support to the Head of Finance & Finance Team
- Coordination of meeting requests, agenda preparation, attending meetings and recording minutes & actions
- Reception Support
- answering calls and greeting people, distribution of incoming mail
- Administer accounts, invoices, credit card reconciliations and provide correct budget cost items for all expenses
- Build effective working relationships with stakeholders, both internally and externally

**Skills and Experiences**:
Experience/ Criteria
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role with a demonstrated ability to perform a wide range of administration tasks accurately, proficiently and in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills to meet deadlines, multitask and work through competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in organizing and administering meetings with a high level of confidentiality when working with various key personnel and information.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and be responsible and accountable for own work with the capacity and willingness to work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills with a high attention to detail when presenting data and report preparation
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills across MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

**Qualifications**:

- Certificate III/IV in Business Administration or equivalent experience in a fast-paced corporate environment
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence
