Overview
Join to apply for the Residential Centre Assistant – Miruma Diversionary Program role with NSW Department of Communities and Justice. This casual position supports residents to reintegrate into the community.
Responsibilities
- Meet the key accountabilities and focus capabilities described in the Casual Residential Centre Assistant role description.
- Support individual case plans and maintain residents' records.
- Mentor, support and assist residents to develop the living skills required for independent living in the community.
- Transport residents to and from external venues.
- Resolve critical situations relating to the health and wellbeing of residents.

- Excellent communication and motivational skills.
- Experience in social welfare is desirable.
- Experience working with women is highly desirable.
- Ability to work unsupervised.

Qualifications Required
- Current Driver's Licence and preparedness to drive a motor vehicle as part of the role.
- Current First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one within 3 months of commencing employment.
