Job Description

The Adolescent and Family Counsellor will provide person-centred support to assist young people and families. The primary goal is to reconcile young people with their families, ensuring they stay within the family home or work towards independent living.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred support in casework and counselling using appropriate models of intervention.
  • Offer information, advice, support, advocacy, and counselling to young people, families, and young parents.
  • Conduct medium to long-term casework, mediation, and referrals to relevant agencies or specialist services.
  • Develop and deliver skills-based groups to build life skills for young people and parenting skills for families.
  • Build and maintain linkages with government, community, and corporate stakeholders.
