Are you passionate about the insurance industry and thrive on analysing risks? We're seeking a Claims Consultant to manage claims from lodgement through to completion in line with our process to ensure optimum customer outcomes under the policy coverage.

Responsibilities
  • Proactive end-to-end management of strata claims within designated authority limits with a focus on meeting Service Level Agreements and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with all relevant parties to provide regular updates on the progress of claims and leverage the expertise of Team Leader, Technical Specialists and other key stakeholders.
  • Respond to customer inquiries over the phone and via email.
  • Review expert reports and recommendations and apply the policy wording to determine policy coverage and response.
  • Conduct evaluations and basic investigatory tasks by gathering and documenting relevant information within the SUU systems as required.
  • Communicate claim decision to brokers and customers in writing.
  • Provide assistance to team members and identify opportunities for process improvement to support team achievements and goals.
About you / Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Previous work experience in a similar role within the property or strata space with prior exposure to insurance claims handling systems, processes and procedures.
  • Willingness to support flexible working practices where possible.
