Senior Retail Claims Consultant role at Zurich Australia. The role involves managing a select portfolio of claims, providing technical support on claims strategies and management, conducting quality assurance reviews, coaching and mentoring claims consultants, and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Manage a select portfolio of claims and provide technical support on claims strategies and management.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coach and mentor claims consultants and develop the team\'s skills and capabilities.
- Drive continuous improvement and process enhancements and uphold Zurich\'s claim philosophy.
- Proven experience as a Senior Claims Consultant in Life Insurance (or a high-performing claims consultant) managing end-to-end retail insurance claims, including Income Protection, Total & Permanent Disability, and Trauma.
- Expertise in managing multiple policies and customers, resolving complaints, and reviewing disputed claim decisions.
- Strong understanding of LICOP (Life Insurance Code of Practice) and the Insurance Contracts Act.
- Proven experience in coaching and mentoring Claims Consultants.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and process enhancement initiatives.
- DFP/ANZIIF qualifications preferred, but not essential.
- 5 weeks of annual leave for permanent staff through Z leave, plus 15 days of personal/carer's leave and Family Care (parental leave).
