Job Description

The Contract Administrator will play a critical role within the Commercial Department at MLG, overseeing the lifecycle of contracts from inception through to completion. Working closely with MLG's legal counsel, this role requires an understanding of contract law, negotiation skills, and the ability to administer multiple contracts simultaneously. The Contract Administrator will ensure all contracts comply with regulatory requirements and company policies, while also fostering strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing commercial and contractual support to the business in both pre-contract and post award environments.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating client and supplier contacts.
  • Ensuring all contractual documents are accurately prepared and maintained in accordance with the Company's procedures.
  • Assessing and administering contract variations and amendments as needed.
  • Maintaining comprehensive and organised records of all contract related documentation.
  • Identifying potential risks with vendors and in client contracts and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Provide advice on contractual interpretation and obligations.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Ideally a Bachelor's degree in Law. (Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Law, or a related field would also be considered)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal or in contract administration preferably within the mining or construction industry.
