Overview

Claims Management Officer – Motor at RACQ (insurance arm of IAG) with end-to-end lodgement and claims management responsibility. You'll guide members through the claims process, triage claims, support recovery efforts, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance member outcomes. As the first point of contact, you'll deliver proactive service while adhering to RACQ policies.

Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end lodgement and claims processing for motor claims
  • Act as the first point of contact for members, providing empathetic, accurate, and timely service
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to triage claims and support recovery efforts
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance member outcomes
  • Navigate and learn systems and technology with ease to support claims activities
Training and Work Arrangements

You will begin on October 27, 2025, with a minimum seven-week to thirteen-week, office-based training program at the Meanjin (Brisbane – Eight Mile Plains) office. This is a permanent full-time role with training hours Monday to Friday (8:30am–5:00pm). After training, hours will rotate between 7:00am–7:00pm Monday to Friday and 8:30am–5:00pm on weekends and public holidays. Upon successful completion of training and Rockpool, hybrid work arrangements may be considered subject to business needs (currently one day per week in the office).

About You
  • A passion for helping others with strong customer service and communication skills
  • Confidence working in a fast-paced call centre environment, handling inbound calls and lodgements
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • A collaborative mindset with adaptability and willingness to learn through coaching and feedback
  • Ability to quickly learn systems and navigate technology with ease
