RGM Maintenance is looking to appoint a new Service Advisor within their Townsville Branch.

Our Branch is a fast-paced Daimler Trucks Dealership showcasing Mercedes Benz, Freightliner, and Fuso; however, we do not limit ourselves to only our brands. RGM works on Defence Vehicles, Fuel tankers, and basically anything that comes through the door.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to transition from an administration role in another industry into the transport industry. You do not need to know trucks or have a mechanical background to succeed in this role.

We want someone who is organised, able to work well under pressure, and isn't afraid of a challenge.

This role requires:

  • High customer service focus.
  • Experience with "Equip" or DMS systems will be highly advantageous.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Self-motivated and able to work well in a team environment.
  • High level of communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Great organisation and time management skills.
  • Sound computer knowledge and familiarity with Office software (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to perform to a high standard within a busy environment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Communication with customers face-to-face, via phone, and email.
  • Managing workshop booking diary entries.
  • Gathering customer information via phone consultation and translating it into a detailed repair order for the workshop.
  • Invoice and quotation processing.
  • Following up on back-order parts internally.
