Hourly Rate: $ $71.11 per hour + super
Our Federal Government Client is an independent agency that promotes efficiency and increased transparency in the delivery and funding of public health and aged care services across Australia.
The Office of the CEO (OCEO) enables the agency to achieve the effective delivery of its functions by providing the business infrastructure for the organisation. The OCEO delivers secretariat services to key committees including the Pricing Authority (Agency's governing board), advisory committees, and working groups, as well as legal, governance, finance, procurement, operational, and executive services.
The Role :The agency Secretariat manages secretariat services to the Pricing Authority and key committees and stakeholders.
The APS6 Secretariat Coordinator supports the Secretariat team in delivering these services to meet agency goals.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :- Managing secretariat service delivery for statutory bodies under your responsibility.
- Managing travel, accommodation, and meeting logistics.
- Contributing to operational arrangements including financial management for the committees and working groups.
- Providing administrative support for ministerial and parliamentary processes.
- Improving work practices for correspondence, document management, data entry, and record maintenance.
- Managing contact lists and membership details for committees and working groups.
- Communicating with multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Managing the committee meeting calendar for operational efficiency.
- Monitoring project progress and contributing to project planning.
- Developing and implementing secretariat policies and procedures.
- Coordinating classification system documentation and processes.
- Working autonomously and collaboratively within the team.
- High-level administrative expertise in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Strategic thinking abilities.
- Strong stakeholder management, liaison, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use initiative in planning and delivering projects.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail.
- Experience managing contracts and liaising with diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Experience in secretariat services.
- Qualifications in Business Management, Office Management, Public Administration, or related fields.
