DDP Consulting is a Canberra-based consultancy specialising in digital transformation, ICT delivery, and strategic recruitment services for the Australian Government. We partner with agencies to solve complex challenges by aligning the right talent with the right outcomes.

We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced ServiceNow Technical Lead to support a range of ICT programs and projects for a Federal Government client.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the design, development, and implementation of both out-of-the-box and custom ServiceNow solutions that meet evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

The ServiceNow Technical Lead will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Leading the design and delivery of ServiceNow solutions, setting priorities, allocating tasks, and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Developing and maintaining development plans and user stories to ensure timely, high-quality, and cost-effective delivery.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to design, test, and implement integrations, customisations, and enhancements in line with business requirements and relevant frameworks and standards.
  • Working closely with technical teams and business users to resolve issues or defects across both production and in-development ServiceNow modules.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement by monitoring new ServiceNow features and recommending process and system enhancements.
  • Liaising with vendors, internal business areas, and IT teams to identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and remove delivery blockers.
  • Working within an Agile team environment or BAU as required.
  • Performing other duties as directed by team leaders or delegated authorities.

Security Clearance Requirement:

Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold a minimum Baseline security clearance. Candidates with an active NV1 clearance will be highly regarded.

Required Skills & Experience:

Proven hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Technical Lead working across the full SDLC.

Ability to take ownership of solutions – from design to delivery.

Strong experience leading development teams in Agile environments.

Demonstrated skills in building and maintaining ServiceNow custom applications and integrations.

Proficiency in key ServiceNow modules and tools: Flow Designer, Integration Hub, Service Portal widgets, and Configurable Workspaces.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Experience managing competing priorities and consistently delivering high-quality outcomes.

Familiarity with Agile tools such as Azure DevOps or ServiceNow Agile module.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

  • Industry certifications such as ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified Implementation Specialist (e.g. CIS-ITSM, CIS-CSM).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Management, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of ITIL and experience in large-scale ICT transformation programs, ideally within Commonwealth Government.
  • Experience with UI Builder and Configurable Workspaces.
