About the Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Assistant Village Manager plays a key leadership role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the village. You will foster a positive workplace culture and deliver exceptional service to residents and their families.
This hands-on role includes:

• Acting as the first point of contact for resident, stakeholders and public enquiries
• Managing resident tours, admissions and cessation, ensuring compliance with the Retirement Villages Act
• Coordinating and leading a small team of employees and contractors for maintenance of buildings and grounds, ensuring WHS compliance
• Managing employee, supplier and contractor onboarding, training and service delivery standards
• Undertaking financial administration including receipting, purchasing, reconciliations, and operational reporting via Xero
• Monthly newsletter, operations and financial performance reporting

About You
We're looking for a capable, compassionate and organised professional who brings:

• Proven experience managing operations and leading a small team with a customer-first mindset
• A solid understanding of WHS and other relevant WA legislation (ideally relating to retirement villages)
• High-level computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and financial systems like Xero
• Strong communication skills—verbal and written—with the ability to build trust and rapport
• A warm, patient and approachable manner at all times engaging with residents and families
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Requirements

• Current National Police Clearance (within 3 months)
• Current WA Driver's Licence
• Full Australian working rights (no sponsorship options available)
