The Byford tavern is a family owned and operated , food focused business, open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. Our pub offers great food and good vibes, including beef from our own farms.

What the role is about

  • Support the Head and Sous Chef in the day to day operation;
  • Assist with menu development with a focus on seasonal produce;
  • Ensure high standards of food quality and presentation ;
  • Supervise junior kitchen staff and ensure a smooth service;
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene, food safety and compliance internally and with health regulations;
  • Manage stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients from suppliers;
  • Able to work multiple sections and flexibility with hours;

Who are we looking for

  • Proven experience in a similar role (essential);
  • Standout attention to detail and presentation skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, while still managing to crack a smile;
  • Strong organisational and time management skills;
  • Food Handlers Supervisor Certificate
