Overview

Maintenance Support Officer - Call Centre, Queensland State Government, Townsville. Initial 3-month contract with likely extension PH + super.

Role

Fantastic opportunity to join this great team environment in a call centre environment, as a Maintenance Support Officer. You will build relationships with customers and contractors, whilst arranging for responsive maintenance for government housing properties.

Responsibilities
  • Arranging responsive maintenance for Government Housing Properties
  • Answering or making customer calls to address their maintenance needs
  • Engaging with callers to confirm or clarify information and calming angry customers, as needed
  • Adequately using software, databases, scripts, and tools
  • Understanding and striving to meet or exceed call centre metrics
  • Providing consistent customer service
Qualifications and experience
  • Minimum of 6 months call centre experience
  • Proven experience in a call centre environment
  • Insurance repairs or property maintenance experience is highly regarded
  • Problem-solving and de-escalation skills
  • Exceptional customer service, active listening and verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and decision-making ability
  • Microsoft Office Skills in Excel, Word and Teams
