About The OpportunityAn opportunity exists for a speech pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team based in Camden Hospital. This position will assist with the provision of therapy for aged care clients recently discharged from hospital.
This role is in a community setting requiring excellent written and oral communication skills, good organisation, effective time management, and the ability to problem solve on the go.
The position is supported with access to regular supervision, opportunities to develop skills, a comprehensive orientation, and professional development aligned with your goals.
What You'll Be DoingTo provide a high quality speech pathology service to patients/clients and their carers to ensure optimal health outcomes. This includes ensuring effective and efficient assessment and intervention in a multidisciplinary setting. The speech pathologist is also responsible for non-clinical tasks to support service delivery including clinical supervision, quality improvement activities, and administrative tasks.
Where You'll Be WorkingSWSLHD Primary & Community Health provides a comprehensive range of community-based services to improve and maintain the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities across South Western Sydney. Services include prevention, early intervention, assessment, acute and post-acute treatment, health maintenance, and continuing care. The team supports diverse populations with specialised programs for children, young people, older adults, and at-risk communities. With over 800 staff, the service delivers high-quality care close to where people live. This role offers opportunities for professional growth and meaningful community impact.

- Must hold a bachelor or postgraduate degree in Speech Pathology providing eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated ability to implement the quality improvement process and apply evidence-based practice
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer literacy and time management
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge, experience and skills in communication and swallowing assessment and management in paediatrics and/or adult caseloads
- Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those with a C class license from another state must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2) license within three months of appointment. Learner licenses are not permitted
