About The Role
The Speech Pathologist is an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team, providing high-quality, complex speech pathology inpatient services to adult patients of the Wagga Base Hospital to meet their health and wellbeing needs. The Speech Pathologist is responsible for providing a range of diagnostic, therapeutic and preventative speech pathology services for adults with communication and feeding difficulties.
As The Speech Pathologist, You Will Be Responsible For
- Providing high level clinical speech pathology expertise and knowledge
- Ensuring client/patient care is delivered within professional, organisational, legal and ethical boundaries and reflects evidence-based practice and knowledge and MLHD values.
- Actively contributing to the MLHD Professional Discipline Network, Allied Health network and multi-disciplinary teams

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology with eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
- Advanced speech pathology clinical knowledge, skills and experience, with an emphasis on evidence-based practice.
- Well-developed time management skills, written and verbal communication, and IT skills including an ability or willingness to use telehealth as a mode of delivery of clinical care
