About the opportunity

As a Retail Postage Sorter, you will play a vital role in connecting millions of Australians. Our mail sorting team ensures that every piece of mail reaches its destination efficiently, handling the high volume of mail processed daily at our Post Offices and delivery centers.

Role details

This is a Relief position, where you will be assigned shifts at multiple Post Offices within a specific geographic area, with shifts starting from 6:30 am. Flexibility to work at various locations is required.

  • Locations include: Croydon, Doncaster, Eltham, Fairfield, Lilydale, Mooroolbark, Ringwood
  • Pay rate: $27.04/hour, increasing to $28.91/hour after approximately 3 months, plus 12% Superannuation
  • Comprehensive training provided (up to 12 weeks) upon commencement
  • Part-time, 6-month fixed-term contract, working 15 hours per week (3 hours daily, Monday to Friday)

You'll be

  • Manually sorting incoming mail at the workplace
  • Sorting and distributing mail into relevant PO Boxes
  • Assisting with administrative tasks such as stocktaking and record maintenance

About you

  • You are friendly, enthusiastic, reliable, and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team
  • You are motivated to make a positive difference in your community
  • You have good memory and hand-eye coordination for sorting tasks
  • You are physically capable of lifting up to 16 kg of mail regularly and standing for your shift
