The Opportunity

The Hospital Post Suicide Engagement service (HOPE) is an aftercare service initiative co-designed with lived experience associates. The HOPE program aims to provide targeted wrap around supports to young people aged 12 to 25 years who have presented to an emergency department due to an acute onset of deliberate self-harm, suicidal thoughts and/or suicide attempt(s). HOPE service provides responsive clinical, lived experience and wellbeing psychosocial supports to eligible young people and their support network for a 3-month period.

The Role

The HOPE Coordinator provides leadership and operational management of PYMHWS HOPE and is a key leadership and management position within the PYMHWS Specialist Programs. The HOPE Coordinator will work with the Clinical Leadership Team, the Deputy Clinical Director and Senior Leadership to support safe operations of the HOPE service. The Coordinator will oversee model refinement, quality and safety processes, recruitment, line management, rostering, budgeting, facility and infrastructure management and other operational tasks for the HOPE program.
