The Opportunity
Reporting to our Landfill Manager, you will oversee daily operations ensuring efficient and compliant landfill activities. This role is ideal for a candidate with experience in the construction industry who is looking to leverage their skills in site supervision and operational efficiency within a waste management organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily landfill operations, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and manage the performance of landfill equipment and staff to maximize efficiency.
  • Oversee waste disposal and recycling processes, maintaining high standards of operational excellence.
  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and success.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the landfill operations team, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols, conducting regular safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Lead and conduct toolbox meetings and daily huddles.
About You
  • Prior experience in a similar role in the Construction or Waste industry is desirable.
  • Proven track record of managing projects and supervising teams.
  • Strong understanding of construction principles, site management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
