Reporting to the Bequests Manager, the Gifts in Wills Officer will support the growth of the Gift in Wills portfolio by developing a sustainable bequest program. Your role will include cultivating and soliciting Gifts in Wills prospects to support fundraising objectives. This position requires working in a busy environment where maintaining focus on multiple activities and schedules is essential.

Your Responsibilities

  • Identify, cultivate, and manage a pipeline of confirmed bequestors and potential benefactors through strategic stewardship and conversion to meet fundraising goals.
  • Assist with formal Gifts in Wills mailing, digital, and nurturing programs for prospects, bequestors, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM database, segment data, and generate reports.
  • Engage with prospects and bequestors through personal visits, correspondence, calls, emails, cards, and events.
  • Coordinate volunteer programs and support volunteers assisting the Gifts in Wills team.

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing or business, with experience in Gifts in Wills or similar donor development roles.
  • Proven expertise in developing stewardship practices for Gifts in Wills donors.
  • Strong project and operational coordination skills for effective initiative implementation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills for internal and external collaboration.
  • NSW driver's license.
