Role overview

We're looking for an experienced Liability Underwriter who is a client-centric professional to join our General Liability team. As a Liability underwriter, you will be working closely with the Head of Liability and Regional Manager to help grow and develop a diversified liability portfolio.

You'll be working within an established underwriting business with an existing General Liability presence, supported by an experienced and global underwriting business.

This role will see responsibilities for:

  • Work closely with brokers assist in building a GL pipeline
  • Prepare and communicate quotations
  • Negotiate rates/ terms with brokers
  • Prepare and present to brokers information on DUAL's Liability product
  • Prepare and communicate bindings
  • Prepare and communicate policy conditions for administration processing
  • Prepare and communicate mid-term adjustments/ endorsements for administration processing
  • Follow up offer of quotation/ renewal
  • Update reporting systems
  • Ensure DUAL's needs/ interests are protected
  • Adhere to underwriting procedures
  • Adhere to underwriting authority

About you

We're looking for a self-starter with strong communication and organisational skills, and at least three years of liability underwriting experience. You'll have a solid understanding of client industries, businesses, and risks.

Additionally, your market knowledge, interpersonal skills, and passion for delivering exceptional customer service and building relationships will be key.

You thrive in a collaborative, close-knit team environment, have the ability to make sound decisions, and are driven to grow the business through team success while continuously seeking personal development.
