The Appian Solution Engineering team provides technical expertise to our customers around the globe, touching every layer of the Appian platform. From data analysis to creative problem solving, our Solution Engineers tackle the most challenging technical problems encountered by Appian customers and partners.
PositionWe are looking for a Premier Solution Engineer with superb customer management skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments. The Premier Solution Engineer will work as a member of the overall account success team, focusing on the platform support experience for their assigned customers.
ResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional software customer service with strong communication, presentation, and customer management skills.
Demonstrate strong technical aptitude and problem-solving ability to identify creative solutions.
Apply basic knowledge of IaaS (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Google Compute Engine, Microsoft Azure).
Understand Web and Application Servers (e.g., Tomcat, Apache, IIS).
Utilize programming/scripting knowledge (e.g., Java, JavaScript, BASH).
Have knowledge of RDBMS platforms (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MariaDB).
Perform network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, Wireshark, VPN).
Conduct systems administration (e.g., Linux, Windows).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
Onboarding and ongoing training with a culture of continuous learning, mentorship, and first-point-of-contact support for new hires.
