Overview

Administration Officer - Planning & Development based in Corowa, New South Wales. Federation Council invites applications for two 12-month contract positions in the Planning & Development Team: one full-time (35 hours per week) and one part-time (28 hours per week).

Responsibilities
  • Process applications submitted through the NSW Planning Portal.
  • Produce and issue certificates using standard templates.
  • Digitize drainage diagrams and other historical records.
  • Manage requests under the Government Information (Public Access) Act (GIPA) and other planning records.
  • Create and maintain registers within Council's Civica Authority application management system.
Essential Key Criteria to Address in Applications
  • Completion of a Certificate III in Administration or similar, or relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in administration in a government agency, a similar non-government agency (e.g., SES, RFS), or a development industry professional service provider.
  • Current and valid Driver's Licence.
  • Demonstrated intermediate computer skills across a range of applications and the ability to adapt to new software easily.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time, set priorities and plan and organise work to achieve objectives within available resources and timeframes.
  • Proven ability to provide excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Salary and Employment Terms

The appointment will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award and Council's policies and conditions of employment. Salary is commencing at $35.49 per hour with progression up to $39.18 per hour, dependent upon skills and experience.
