Job Opportunity: Administration Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Administration Officer to join our Planning and Development Team.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Processing Applications: You will be responsible for processing applications submitted through the NSW Planning Portal, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Certificate Issuance: You will produce and issue certificates using standard templates, maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Digital Record Management: You will digitize drainage diagrams and other historical records, ensuring they are accurately stored and easily accessible.
  • Information Requests: You will manage requests related to the Government Information (Public Access) Act (GIPA) and other planning records, providing prompt and courteous service to clients.
  • Register Maintenance: You will create and maintain registers within Council's Civica Authority application management system, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Certificate III in Administration or similar qualification, or relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in administration in a government agency, similar non-government agency, or development industry professional service provider.
  • A current and valid Driver's Licence.
  • Intermediate computer skills across a range of applications, with the ability to adapt to new software easily.
  • The ability to manage time, set priorities, plan and organize your work, and achieve objectives efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels.
