We are now seeking an experienced and dynamicArea Manager / Wine Representativeto join our specialised team in Victoria.

About the role

Are you a wine enthusiast seeking a fresh start and an exciting opportunity to be part of a fantastic team? Look no furtherWe are looking for a dynamic, passionate, and experienced area manager to both:

  • Oversee and grow already established sales territory or existing loyal customer base.
  • Develop and establish new B2B sales territory within the Melbourne Inner East area and surrounding suburbs .

This highly autonomous role requires a sales champion who is enthusiastic and confident in managing an established network of accounts and onboarding new customers.

Role requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in wine sales.
  • Strong background in face-to-face sales; ability to identify and develop new B2B sales prospects within both On and Off Premise channels.
  • Ongoing expansion and servicing of an existing sales territory & database.
  • Business development with hospitality and retail groups including management of existing key accounts and supply contracts.
  • Self-starter ability to organise and present wine-tastings, staff training, and promotional sales events.
  • Conduct regular visits to clients, ensure they are well informed about our wine portfolio and current offers, take direct orders, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborate with winery partners to initiate promotional activities and ensure their success.
  • Hold a WSET Level 2 or equivalent certification and have strong knowledge of domestic and imported wines.
  • A passion for continuous learning and palate development, along with an enthusiasm to help educate others.
  • Cultivating and sustaining robust relationships to ensure outstanding service and customer satisfaction.

Skills and attributes

  • Demonstrated experience in B2B sales.
  • Extensive experience in wine distribution, hospitality management and, or training industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and engage a diverse range of clients.
  • A self-motivated and goal-oriented individual, with a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Enjoys working autonomously and as part of a team, excellent team player, and is keen to assist with broader tasks when required.
  • Administration & IT skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, and experience with CRM or ERP software systems.
  • A current Australian driver's license is essential for this role.
