About the role

This full-time Operations Manager role is a crucial position within Edge, a leading roll-forming company based in Caversham, Western Australia. As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations, ensuring the efficient and effective running of the company's production and distribution functions.

What you'll be doing

1. Developing and implementing operational strategies to improve productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency.

2. Managing and coordinating the activities of production, warehousing, and distribution teams.

3. Monitoring and optimising workflows, processes, and resource utilisation.

4. Identifying and resolving operational issues, implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

5. Collaborating with other departments, such as sales and finance, to align operations with business objectives.

6. Reporting on key performance indicators and providing recommendations to senior management team.

7. Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

8. Fostering a positive, collaborative, and customer-focused work environment.

What we're looking for

1. Proven track record of at least 5 years' experience in a similar operations management role, preferably within the roll-forming, manufacturing or steel distribution industry.

2. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.

3. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.

4. Proficient in using data-driven approaches to drive operational improvements.

5. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

6. Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as engineering, business, or operations management would be viewed favourably.

7. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
