The Role

This key position reports to the Finance Director, supporting process standardisation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. As a pivotal member of the Finance leadership team, you will oversee accounting operations and ensure precise financial information is delivered to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Accounting team on execution of accounting processes, supporting business management, planning, and decision-making
  • Oversee key accounting processes, including month end close and balance sheet reconciliation, to guarantee timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Motivate and guide the team, focusing on development and fostering a high-performance culture
  • Improve the controls environment and efficiency of accounting procedures, while ensuring adherence to accounting policies and standards
  • Contribute to cash flow forecasting accuracy and improvement
  • Collaborate with Finance leadership team to implement training and development programs
  • Assist with financial reporting, finance master data management, and external audit process
About You

We are looking for individuals who possess the following qualities:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high-performing Accounting teams
  • A qualification in Finance or Accounting (CA, CPA or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting and reporting standards, including Australian Accounting Standards
  • Experience in intercompany accounting practices, fixed assets accounting, period-close procedures, and reconciliation processes
  • Experience in managing change, stakeholder engagement, ensuring smooth transitions and maintaining team morale
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting software (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI)
  • Experience in working on ERP implementation and with Shared Services structures
