Responsibilities- Provide positive experiences for all users of the John McVeity Centre (JMC) with high levels of customer service and effective administration support.
- Coordinate venue hire, bookings, events, activities, and programs at JMC.
- Assist with purchasing orders, monitor and reconcile banking, oversee hire arrangements, and manage incoming and outgoing correspondence for the centre.
Reporting to the Manager - Child & Family Wellbeing, you will focus on delivering high-quality customer service and administration for the John McVeity Centre (JMC), a sporting, health and wellbeing community centre that is part of the City of Playford. JMC provides opportunities for people to connect socially through sports, group fitness classes, venue hire, and a range of other activities and programs. The Reception and Administration Officer will also support purchasing, banking reconciliation, hire management, and correspondence for the centre.
Qualifications and experience- You're a natural communicator with a professional and approachable manner and a genuine interest in helping others. You are passionate about contributing to an organisation that provides information, services, and infrastructure to support a growing and thriving Playford community.
- You'll bring experience in administration and customer service, ideally in a community, sporting, or leisure centre setting. You're confident using technology and systems, can work independently, and enjoy being part of a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- A Certificate in Community Services or Business Administration is desirable, but not essential; barista or basic retail experience is also desirable.
- Incumbents in this position are required to possess or be willing to obtain a National Criminal History Clearance as well as a DSCI Working with Children Check.
