Communication and Content Specialist

This position is responsible for delivering engaging, brand-aligned content across various channels. This role focuses on assisting with external communications, social media, and content creation to help drive customer engagement, retention, and brand awareness across the business.
Tasks And Responsibilities- Curate and create engaging social media content for the business's accounts, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and relevance to target audiences.
- Assist in developing written content for blogs, newsletters, campaigns, website updates, and customer-facing materials, in collaboration with internal teams and external contributors.
- Maintain marketing databases and target lists to support communications with customers and suppliers across key segments.
- Identify and coordinate communications opportunities related to events, sponsorships, and community engagement initiatives.
- Contribute to content strategies that support the customer journey, including acquisition, onboarding, education, retention, and upselling.
- Collaborate closely with the Communications Manager and the broader Marketing team to ensure consistent and integrated messaging across all channels.
- Tertiary qualification in marketing, PR, communications or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Experience with various business writing styles, design and editing responsibilities
- Strong Spreadsheet, Word and PowerPoint required
- Experience with digital and social content platforms
- Experience with email marketing, and data management in CRM platforms
- Solid engagement and relationship building skills
- Proficiency in DTP/Adobe Creative Suite is desirable
- Marketing automation software experience is desirable
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Proven capacity to listen and probe towards converting complex concepts into clear and concise writing
- Well organised, self-driven
- Strong team player and collaborator
- Curious, thirst to learn and improve
- Share expertise to grow colleagues and the team
- Can-do attitude
