PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The Content Specialist is responsible for bringing to life the Alpha-H brand across all touch points with consumers and retail partners globally. Overseeing the brand identity and communications approach across all channels for new product launches and our always-on approach to acids, new customer acquisition and retention. The focus of the role is activating the brand in a distinct, impactful, and elevated way through verbal and visual mechanics to disrupt the cluttered beauty space.
The role covers all marketing disciplines and responsibilities required in the development and execution of marketing planning, campaigns & brand initiatives that will positively impact brand health metrics and overall market share & sales internationally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver a consistent brand look and feel, and tone of voice, and ensure all content is in line with brand guidelines
- Share and nurture the Alpha-H brand story, celebrating the Alpha-H values and ethos, through content (written, verbal, visual) across all social media channels
- Campaign management: collaborate with marketing team to align content with product launches, seasonal campaigns and sales goals
- Content creation: Write/edit SEO-optimised blog posts, website copy, product descriptions, email campaigns, and social media content (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook)
- Social Media: oversee organic social content and strategy with a focus on Instagram and TikTok
- Oversee the community management of all brand social media channels, including but not limited to public commentary, direct messages, brand mentions and brand features
- Performance + Reporting: utilising brand metric data (traffic, search, influencer metrics, PR metrics, social metrics) to evaluate brand and product performance vs. targets, with actionable insights
EXPERIENCE
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field—or currently working towards one
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in writing and editing content across various formats, social media managing (Content planning & scheduling), and channels (e.g. web, email, print), with a strong focus on clarity, consistency, and audience engagement
- Skincare or beauty industry experience preferred
- High level of proficiency of social media channels: Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, TikTok etc
- Proven experience creating social media content including design, video and copy
- Experience producing photo and video content from end to end including shooting and editing is preferred
- High level of experience with creative copywriting
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite and video editing software
- Comfortable juggling multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively and individually in a fast-paced environment
- Communicate openly and clearly to team members and external clients
- Be self-motivated, honest, reliable whilst being able to work well under pressure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple creative jobs
- Ability to solve creative problems
