About the role:

We're looking for an accomplished, professional and diligent leader to become our next Manager Compliance and Risk and help us to build a robust risk culture and achieve our organisational goals while complying with legislative and regulatory requirements. Reporting to the General Manager Corporate and Governance, you'll shape and implement critical policies and risk frameworks, guiding our people to meet high standards across the board.

As the Manager Compliance and Risk your key responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee compliance with legislative and regulatory frameworks including risk management, data security, privacy and venue management
  • Develop, review and implement organisational policies, procedures and the enterprise risk management framework, including maintaining the risk register and supporting operational risk assessments
  • Support the General Manager Corporate and Governance with internal audits, insurance management and responses to legal and insurance claims
  • Prepare and present risk & compliance reports, provide advice to executives and managers, deliver staff training, build strong stakeholder relationships and contribute to cross-functional projects and working groups

Required skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of public sector governance, legal and regulatory frameworks, with proven experience in enterprise risk management and developing risk frameworks and procedures
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work autonomously or lead others as required
  • Highly developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to change and demonstrated experience in drafting clear, detailed policies and procedures
  • Current Victorian Working with Children's Check (Employee)
